JK Dobbins 2022 NFL season props: Ravens running back activated off PUP list, tracking to be ready Week 1 vs. Jets

The Baltimore Ravens have activated top running back JK Dobbins off the Physically Unable To Perform List, and ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Dobbins, who tore his ACL in the 2021 preseason, is on track to be ready for Week 1 when Baltimore visits the New York Jets. The various sportsbooks haven't posted individual totals for Dobbins yet, but he's +3000 at Caesars Sportsbook to lead the NFL in rushing yards.

Dobbins passed his physical today, which led to him being remo ved from the PUP list. He missed all of last season after he tore his ACL during the Ravens' final preseason game. In 2020, Dobbins, a second-round pick in the '20 draft out of Ohio State, rushed 134 times for 805 yards and nine scores. He averaged 6.0 yards per carry, which was the best among qualified running backs and behind only quarterbacks Lamar Jackson (Dobbins' teammate) and Kyler Murray.

It seems unlikely that Dobbins will lead the league in rushing – the last Ravens back to do so was Jamal Lewis in 2003 — because Jackson runs the ball so frequently and coach John Harbaugh like to use a backfield committee. Also on the roster at tailback are Gus Edwards (working his way back from an ACL tear of his own), Mike Davis, Justice Hill, Corey Clement, Nate McCreary and sixth-round rookie Tyler Badie out of Missouri. He led the SEC in rushing last year with a school-record 1,604 yards.

Edwards is still on the PUP list and his status for Week 1 remains q uestionable. Dobbins will be eased into camp, likely starting with just individual drills. He previously refuted a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport in July stating that he “was no sure thing to make Week 1.”
