The San Francisco 49ers are hungry to return to the Super Bowl this season, and their journey begins Monday at 8:15 p.m. ET when they host the New York Jets.
Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers returns to the field after missing last season, and our Jets vs. 49ers MNF Prop Bets, using our best Monday Night Football odds, are back as part of our Week 1 NFL predictions.
Last year didn't end as the 49ers had hoped, with them losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Big Game, but they're again among the Super Bowl odds favorites. They managed to keep most of that team together over the offseason and are ready to make another charge at the title.
The Jets watched their season explode after three offensive snaps last year. With their star quarterback under center again, they will hope for better days ahead.

This is a fun alternative prop market and can be more profitable than taking a straight bet on either signal callers' individual completions prop.
BetMGM is the only book offering this combo. It has set Rodgers' line at 22.5 completions with the Under at -135, while San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy is projected for 20.5 completions with the Under set at +105. I think it is safer to take the combined projections. That way, if one quarterback does surpass their mark, you can still cash in if the other comes up short.
Purdy has completed an average of 16.9 passes per game in his career. Last season, he completed at least half of this prop in only 6 of 16 games. Monday, he takes on a Jets defense that allowed only five quarterbacks to complete at least 22 passes last season.
Rodgers has averaged 21.7 completed passes throughout his career. He hasn't played more than three snaps for the Jets yet, but he is facing a 49ers defense that allowed 23.1 completions per game at home last year.

So, taking the reduced threshold at the same price is your best opportunity to profit from this bet.
Hargrave and Nick Bosa were the top two sack leaders on the 49ers last season. The former Eagle racked up 7.0 in San Francisco last year. Two seasons ago, he was one of three Philadelphia defenders to register 11 sacks.
Jets quarterback Zach Wilson was the fourth-most sacked (46) quarterback last season. He was taken down behind the line of scrimmage in each of his 12 games. Wilson was sacked at least three times in nine of those appearances. I expect Rodgers to find it equally hard to get comfortable in the pocket against a tough 49ers defense.
