Jayson Tatum didn't need to do too much during the Boston Celtics' convincing 107-89 win over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Tatum finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists over 42 minutes.
But because the Celtics have dropped Game 2 in two of their previous three playoff series, Tatum will need to contribute more on Sunday to ensure his team holds serve at home.

The market might be overreacting to the series opener, as the Over on 5.5 assists has gone from as rich as -111 to its current price of +100. In terms of expected win rate, that makes all the difference for us bettors.
Tatum might have only tallied five assists in Game 1, but he led all players with 14 potential assists during the lopsided victory. Tatum is averaging 5.9 assists on 10.1 potential assists during the 2024 postseason.
