The Jacksonville State Gamecocks come into Wisconsin on a two-game losing streak. They have slipped below .500 with the two losses and will try their hand against the deliberate Badgers. On Friday night, Jax State was downed by the University of Illinois Chicago 55-49 in the final game of a three-game homestand. While the Gamecocks' defense delivered, the offense put on another terrible display. The 49 points were the lowest total of the season for Jax State. They shot just 37% and were held under 50 points at home for the first time since 2018. Andres Burney was the only Gamecock player to reach double-digits with just 12 points.

Jax State comes in with one of the worst offensive teams in the country. They are 309th in scoring offense this season. They are also 225th in field goal percentage and 299th in 3-point shooting. Not surprisingly, the Gamecocks aren't very efficient either, ranking 300th in assist-to-turnover ratio. Defense is what keeps Jax State competitive. The Gamcocks are 24th in the nation in points allowed per game. They are 162nd in defensive field goal percentage and 157th in 3-point defense. Jax State is slightly below average on the glass, ranking 184th in the country in total rebounding.
