The Big Ten race is wide open, and these two schools can bolster their case on Monday night. The Iowa Hawkeyes (10-6; 7-9-0 ATS) and Minnesota Golden Gophers (12-4; 14-2-0 ATS) both need a win in this 6:00 p.m. EDT battle. The game is in Williams Arena, so Minnesota will have the crowd's support. However, Iowa enters this game with a four-game winning streak over the Golden Gophers. Will they make it five when the game is finished?

Iowa comes into this matchup with wins in five of their past six games. However, the lone loss of the stretch pushed the team to 0-4 on the road. The Hawkeyes' struggles begin with their scoring dropping from 87.1 ppg overall to 72.2 ppg as a visiting team. Considering how heavily KenPom favors the Iowa offense compared to the defense, this team can't afford to lose points. Yet, the Big Ten's highest-scoring team only shoots 42.9% away from home. They only grab 8.5 offensive boards as visitors while turning the ball over 12.0 times per contest. Will they travel well for once on Monday?

The defense is an issue anywhere, allowing 77.5 points per game on 44.4% shooting. In road games, the Hawkeyes surrender 88.0 points per game and a 52.3% field goal percentage. They allowed 83 in their most recent road game, their best defensive performance. One thing that could bail out Iowa is a +3.6 turnover margin, although the team also forces fewer turnovers in away games. There aren't many ways that Iowa isn't a mess when they have to travel.
