Iowa State at Oklahoma – 1/4/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Iowa State Cyclones will head down to Norman and face the Oklahoma Sooners in Big 12 action from the Lloyd Noble Center on ESPN2. Oklahoma leads the all-time series 118-91, but Iowa State has won five of the last six matchups.

Iowa State improved to 10-2 after beating Baylor in Ames. The Cyclones opened Big 12 play in a big way by putting a 15-point loss on the Bears. Iowa State is scoring 70.9 points per game, while allowing 56.9 ppg and shooting 46.2% from the floor. 

Iowa State thrives on the defensive end, and it’s been a collective effort offensively. SBU transfer Jaren Holmes scored a game-high 22 points in the win over UNC, and he leads ISU in scoring (13.5). Senior guard Gabe Kalscheur (10.7 ppg) tied a season-high with 23 points in the win over Baylor last time out. Fellow senior Cody Grill (10.8 ppg, 4.5 rpg) dropped a career-high 31 points in the win over UNC, and hit five threes versus the Bears.
