Iowa at Ohio State – 10/22/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Iowa Hawkeyes and Ohio State Buckeyes face off on Saturday in a college football game at Ohio Stadium. In 2017 it was Iowa that secured the 55-24 victory.

Ohio State comes into this game with a 6-0 record overall and they look a team that can win the National Championship this season. In the last game against Michigan State, Ohio State scored 49 points, and that was enough to secure the victory. CU Stroud is having another strong season and in the last game, he completed 21 of his 26 passes for 361 yards, six touchdowns, and one interception. TreVeyon Anderson also rushed 19 times for 118 yards and a touchdown. Ohio State’s offense is averaging 48.8 points per game which is the best in all of college football.

On the other side of this matchup is Iowa and they currently sit with a 3-3 record. In the last game against Illinois the defense gave up only nine points, but the offense could only manage six points. Spencer Petras completed 18 of his 36 passes for 170 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. Petras has had issues all season but Iowa still hasn’t made a change at quarterback. One other big issue for this offense is they haven’t had as strong of a running game as in years past. Iowa is averaging 14.7 points while their defense is giving up 9.83 points per game.
