Iowa at Nebraska – 12/29/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Iowa Hawkeyes will cross the border and head to Lincoln and face the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Big Ten action this Thursday from the Pinnacle Bank Arena on the BTN. Iowa leads the all-time series 24-13 after winning each of the last four matchups.

Iowa dropped to 8-4 after a bad loss to Eastern Illinois at home. The Hawkeyes found themselves on the wrong side of history, losing to the Panthers as 32-point favorites at home. Iowa is scoring 83.8 points per game, while allowing 70.8 ppg, and shooting 46.4% from the field.

Iowa really missed Kris Murray against EIU, as they could not overcome a cold shooting night. Murray leads the Hawkeyes in scoring (19.4) and rebounding (10.1) and his return will need to be monitored when considering the Hawkeyes. Filip Rebraca has played big in his absence, scoring 22 or more in three of the last four games to bring his season averages to 14.1 ppg and 8.3 rpg. Patrick McCaffrey (14.3 ppg, 5.2rpg) will look to put his 3/15 versus EIU performance behind him here.
