It's a battle in the Metro Atlantic Association Conference as the Fairfield Stags host the Iona Gaels on Sunday. Fairfield is 10-12 overall and 6-6 in the MAAC while Iona is 15-7 overall and 8-3 in the conference. Iona beat Fairfield back on January 13 by the score of 75-69 at Iona, but Fairfield easily covered. Tipoff is at 2:00 p.m. EST at Mahoney Arena in Fairfield.
Coach Rick Pitino has Iona in position to make another NCAA tournament. They come into this game with a record of 15-7 overall and 8-3 in the MAAC. They are just one half game behind Rider and Siena, who are both 9-3. They are coming off an impressive 81-51 beatdown of Mount St. Mary's on Friday night. The Gaels shot an impressive 54% from the floor and 47% from three in the rout.

Walter Clayton led the Gaels with 20 points. He drained four threes and had three steals for Iona. Nelly Junior Joseph had his 10th straight double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Joseph leads the MAAC in rebounding, He averages 15.5 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. Clayton leads the team with 15.6 points per game. Daniss Jenkins, Berrick JeanLouis, and Cruz Davis each added 12 points. Iona is ranked No. 81 by KenPom.
