Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 10-23-2022

The Indianapolis Colts (3-2-1, 3-3 ATS, 1-5 O/U) battle the Tennessee Titans (3-2, 3-2 ATS, 2-3 O/U) in a divisional showdown on Sunday afternoon. The Colts rallied for a win against the Jaguars last week. The Titans beat Washington two weeks ago and had their bye last week. These foes met in week four in a game the Titans won by a 24-17 score.

The Indianapolis Colts are seeking a third straight win. It was a bit of a sluggish start to the season. They played to a 20-20 decision against Houston in the opener and were shut out by the Jaguars in week two. They have since defeated the Broncos in OT and were one-point favorites in a 34-27 home win against the Jaguars last week. Indy has covered the spread in three out of their last four games.

Matt Ryan had his best game of the season last week, accumulating 389 passing yards. The 37-year-old QB now has eclipsed 300 yards three times this season and has 1765 passing yards accompanied by an 8:7 TD to INT ratio. Jonathan Taylor did not play last week due to an ankle injury and will play. The 23-year-old is a big threat and has amassed 328 yards in four games. Deon Jackson and Philip Lindsay will likely also take some carries.

Michael Pittman Jr. struggled against the Titans earlier this month, recording only 31 yards. The 25-year-old star WR had a season-best 134 yards last week and has registered 417 receiving yards on the season. The Colts offense has been wildly inconsistent and has only scored more than 20 points once all season.

The Indianapolis defense has carried them most of the season. They had a bit of trouble against the Jags last week, conceding 377 total yards. One of their best defensive players Shaquill Leonard has only played in one game but was at practice and is expected to play. The pass defense ranks 10th while the rush defense is 22nd. Indy is posting an average of only 17.2 points, landing them 28th in the league. The defense is conceding an average of 20.2 points, good for 14th.
