Indiana Hoosiers (19-9) vs. Purdue Boilermakers (24-4)
The 2022-23 NCAA men’s basketball season continues Saturday, February 25, with the Indiana Hoosiers taking on the Purdue Boilermakers in the Big Ten Conference showdown at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, Indiana.
The old foes meet for the second time this season. The Boilermakers open as 7.5-point home favorites with a total of 138.0 points. Back on February 4, Indiana outlasted Purdue 79-74 as a 1-point home fave, and the game flew over a 138-point line.
Since winning three games in a row over No. 1 Purdue 79-74, No. 24 Rutgers 66-60, and Michigan 62-61, the Indiana Hoosiers have sandwiched a 71-68 home win against Illinois with a couple of road losses at Northwestern 64-62 and Michigan State 80-65. Last Tuesday, the Hoosiers fell apart at Breslin Center in East Lansing, Michigan, allowing their rivals to hit an 80-point mark for the first time in 12 games.
Michigan State went 10-for-21 from deep and 18-for-19 from the foul line against the Hoosiers, who made just five of their 14 attempts from beyond the 3-point line. Indiana posted just five offensive rebounds to go with a poor 10/13 assist-to-turnover ratio, and senior forward Trayce Jackson-Davis turned the ball over seven times while tallying a line of 19 points, s even rebounds, five assists, and a steal.

The Hoosiers have gone 9-3 SU and 7-5 ATS over their last 12 games overall. They are tied with Maryland for the No. 3 seed in the Big Ten Conference, three games behind the top-seeded Purdue and just half a game ahead of four teams with a 9-7 record. The Hoosiers score 70.5 points per game in the conference play (6th in the Big Ten) on 47.1% shooting from the field (1st) and 38.7% from downtown (2nd) while yielding 68.6 points in return (9th) on 41.8 FG% (3rd) and 31.9 3P% (also 3rd). Indiana is No. 17 in the AP Top 25 Poll, No. 19 in the NCAA NET Rankings, and No. 24 in the KenPom rankings.
