Indiana Hoosiers (3-6) vs. Illinois Fighting Illini (4-5)

The college football betting action goes on Saturday, November 11, 2023, with the Indiana Hoosiers taking on the Illinois Fighting Illini in the Week 11 Big Ten Conference showdown at Memorial Stadium in Champaign, Illinois.

The Hoosiers aim for their fifth consecutive SU and ATS victory over Illinois. They are 6.5-point road dogs with a total of 44.0 points, and three of the last four encounters between Indiana and Illinois have gone under the total.

When it comes to college football picks, our NCAAF Predictions are stellar.

The Indiana Hoosiers (3-6; 5-4 ATS; 1-5 Conf.) earned their first win in the conference play in Week 10. They beat Wisconsin 20-14 as 7.5-point home underdogs, putting an end to a four-game losing streak. Indiana was outgained 344-261 in total yards, but the Hoosiers won the turnover battle 2-0 and kept the ball in possession for 33:25.

Freshman quarterback Brendan Sorsby led the way for Indiana last week, completing 19 of his 31 passing attempts for 186 yards and a touchdown. He also scored once on his own, while junior wideout Donaven McCulley caught five passes for 67 yards and a TD.

“I just attribute it to the culture,” Indiana head coach Tom Allen said. “We believe in what we’re doing, and I think it's shown the way we played the last couple of weeks.”

Brendan Sorsby reclaimed the starting job in Week 8 when the Hoosiers lost to Rutgers 31-14. Two weeks ago, Indiana covered a massive 30.5-point spread in a heartbreaking 33-24 defeat at Penn State in which Sorsby tossed for 269 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. He’s thrown for 875 yards, seven touchdowns, and a pick across seven appearances while racking up 135 yards and two touchdowns on 67 carries.

The Hoosiers are scoring just 18.8 points per game (119th in the nation) while averaging only 3.1 yards per carry (tied-121st). They are giving up 28.0 points per contest (tied-85th) on 199.4 passing yards (32nd) and 161.6 rushing yards (92nd).
