The Indiana State Sycamores and the Illinois State Redbirds will face off on Wednesday night in a Missouri Valley Conference matchup inside of Redbird Arena. The Sycamores are 11-4 (4-0) right now and are on a two-game winning streak after a 68-50 road win on Sunday against the Valparaiso Beacons. The Redbirds are currently 6-9 (1-3) so far and are on a tw o-game losing streak after a 66-60 home loss on Saturday against the Northern Iowa Panthers. These programs will also meet up on February 18 so this will be a good test here to see how they match up. 

The Indiana State Sycamores have been playing extremely well and were able to pick up a 68-50 road victory against the Valparaiso Beacons. They dominated in the first half as they outscored Valparaiso 36-24. They shot the ball well as they were 27-of-54 (50 percent) overall, 6-of-21 (28.6 percent) from the three, and 10 free-throw attempts. Senior guard Cooper Neese had a good game as he played 33 minutes and finished with 16 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal, and a pair of turnovers. Defensively, they absolutely dominated here as they allowed 29.5 percent from the floor and 13.6 from deep here. Indiana State did a decent job as they forced six steals and a single block throughout the entire game. 

The Indiana State Sycamores are dominating this season as they are 25th in the nation with 81.2 points per game thus far and shooting a strong 47.6 percent from the floor and are averaging 16.1 assists per game. Defensively, they are giving up 70.1 points per game, which is 222nd in the country. They need to improve with 1.9 blocks and 7.6 steals per game thus far.
