The Indiana Pacers travel to the United Center to take on the Chicago Bulls on Sunday afternoon.
The Indiana Pacers have come to life with three wins in their past five outings, but they will be looking to bounce back in this one after having their two-game win streak snapped by the lowly Spurs in a 110-99 road loss on Thursday. Buddy Hield led the team with 27 points on 12 of 17 shooting, Chris Duarte added 18 points off the bench while Myles Turner chipped in with 14 points, four assists and three blocks. As a team, the Pacers shot 45 percent from the field and eight of 23 from the 3-point line as they got off to a quick start and held the lead going into halftime, but they let all their hard work go down the drain in the third quarter where they scored just 16 points to fall behind by as many as 18 points. Andrew Nembhard had a night to forget as he scored just four points on zero of eight shooting.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls have been in a real slump as they’ve lost eight of their last 11 games overall, but they will be hoping for a better performance in this one after getting torched by the Suns in a 125-104 loss on Friday. DeMar DeRozan led the team with 31 points and six assists on 13 of 18 shooting, Zach LaVine added 27 points while Nikola Vucevic chipped in with 13 points and nine rebounds. As a team, the Bulls shot 47 percent from the field and seven of 23 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control when they poured in 35 points in the second quarter to overcome an early 11-point deficit, only to get dominated by 65-40 in the second half as they just got no support from their bench who combined for just 22 points.
