Indiana at Northwestern – 2/15/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Indiana Hoosiers will head up to Evanston to meet the Northwestern Wildcats in Big Ten play from the Welsh-Ryan Arena on the BTN. Indiana leads the all-time series, 93-30, but Northwestern has won the last two meetings.

Indiana improved to 18-7 after beating Michigan in Ann Arbor. The Hoosiers rallied late, and edged the Wolverines by a single point, 62-61. Indiana is scoring 76.5 points per game, while allowing 67.8 ppg, and shooting 49.5% from the field.

Indiana’s hot start was no fluke, after a slow beginning to conference play, they’ve responded by winning eight of their last nine games. The Hoosiers are 9-5 in Big Ten play, with a 4-5 road record. Senior forward Trayce Jackson-Davis came through with another heroic effort against Big Blue, posting a 28-point double-double to bring home the slim victory for the Hoosiers.  TJD leads IU in scoring (20.2) and he leads the conference in rebounding (11.3). Jalen Hood-Schifino dropped a career-high 33 points in the first matchup with Northwestern, and after scoring 21 points in the win over Michigan, he’s up to 12.6 ppg.
