A pair of Missouri Valley Conference rivals meet on Saturday when the UIC Flames (9-7, 1-4 MVC) visit the Hulman Center located in Terre Haute, Indiana to play the Indiana State Sycamores (12-4, 5-0 MVC). UIC was defeated by Belmont 77-71 on Wednesday night. The Flames have lost two straight and three of the last four. Indiana State defeated Illinois State on Wednesday 76-67. The Sycamores have won each of the last three. UIC does not have any injuries, while Xavier Blitzen and Rob Martin are questionable for Indiana State.

The UIC Flames have a field goal shooting percentage of just 41.4% and a three-point shooting percentage of 31.7% which are 325th and 294th respectively. This has resulted in the Flames scoring an average of only 67.1 points (302nd) per game. Jace Carter is scoring a team-best 16.1 points per game, while shooting 45.6% overall and only 27.2% from long range.
