Illinois at Michigan – 11/19/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Illinois Fighting Illini will head up to the Big House for a Big Ten clash with the Michigan Wolverines this weekend on ABC. Michigan and Illinois have an extensive football series that dates back to 1898, with the Wolverines holding a lopsided head-to-head lead of 71-23-3.

Illinois dropped to 7-3 after losing to Purdue at home in Week 11. The Fighting Illini failed to recover in the fourth quarter, and they’ve now dropped two in a row after one of the strongest starts in school history. Illinois scores 24.7 points per game, while passing for 218.6 yards per game (162nd), and rushing for 183.5 ypg (75th). The Fighting Illini defense allows 12.5 points per game, which is good for fourth in the whole nation.

Tommy DeVito changed oranges and found success in Champaign. The former Syracuse quarterback has a tough task this weekend in Ann Arbor, as he surely won’t be able to lean on the run game as heavily here due to them potentially chasing points. DeVito has thrown for 2,083 passing yards with 15 touchdowns to three interceptions through ten starts.
