Mike McDaniel is 40 years old.
Born in Colorado, McDaniel played wide receiver at Yale in the early 2000s before beginning his coaching career.
His career began as a coaching intern under Mike Shanahan in Denver while getting his first offensive coordinator position with the 49ers in 2021. Before that promotion, McDaniel served as the run game coordinator for the 49ers from 2017-20.
He went 9-8 in his first season (2022) as Miami Dolphins head coach.
