Houston at Tulsa – 12/28/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Houston Cougars will travel and take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane for an AAC battle from the Donald W. Reynolds Center this Wednesday on ESPNU.

Houston improved to 12-1 after taking down McNeese State. The Cougars followed their strong win over Virginia in Charlottesville with a vintage effort at the Fertitta Center, nearly beating the Cowboys by 40 points, 83-44. with a win over Kent State over the weekend. Houston is scoring 74.2 points per game, while allowing 50.3 ppg, and shooting 46.9% from the floor. 

Houston goes about ten deep this season and has the look of a championship contender again this season. Marcus Sasser looks strong in his return from injury, and he leads the team in scoring through the first third of the season with 16.0 ppg. Tramon Mark (9.1 ppg, 3.8 rpg) and Jamal Shead (7.7 ppg, 5.8 apg) join him in the backcourt. J’Wan Roberts has double-doubled in wins over Kent State and St. Joe’s, and he leads the Cougs in rebounding (7.2), while scoring 9.3 ppg.
