The Houston Astros and Chicago White Sox continue their three-game weekend series in Chicago on Saturday night. The Astros are off to a slow start in defending their 2022 World Series title while the White Sox have fallen near the bottom of the standings in the AL Central Division. The pitching matchup on Saturday will be Houston righty Brandon Bielak (0-1, 4.15) taking on White Sox righty Dylan Cease (2-2, 5.58). The first pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PM EST.

The Houston Astros are still waiting to heat up in 2023 with the team hovering around the .500 mark for much of the season. Heading into this series with the White Sox, the Astros have won two straight after taking the final two games of their series with the Angels on the road. The team headed into Friday night's series opener at 3-3 on the current nine-game road trip.

Brandon Bielak will be making just his second start of the season for the Astros on Saturday. This will just be his third appearance overall with a record of 0-1 and a 4.15 ERA. In his lone start, he was touched up for ten hits and two earned runs in just 4.1 innings of work. Overall, he has given up 12 hits in 8.1 innings over two appearances. He has struck out six and walked two batters in that span. Bielak does have an alarming hard-hit percentage of over 53% in his two appearances after finishing over 40% last season. He also has a career-high walk percentage of 12% thus far.
