Today’s MLB Home Run Prop Bets For September 13

We nailed Bryan Reynolds of the Pirates hitting a home run yesterday and we’ll try to make it two in a row today. WagerTalk content contributor Kyle Kargel provides his daily home run prop picks and predictions for Tuesday, September 13 with odds provided by PointsBet.

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Rafael Devers (+320)

Both starting pitchers in the Red Sox vs Yankees matchup have allowed 20+ home runs this season. Gerrit Cole specifically has allowed a home run in three straight starts despite accumulating 29 strikeouts during those starts.

Rafael Devers isn't impressed though and there is nothing more the Red Sox would like to do more than spoil a potential Yankees AL East title. Devers is 7-26 all time against Cole with six of those seven hits being home runs.

Devers hits .311 at home but Devers only has two home runs in his last 30 days. A series with the Yankees might just be what Devers needs though as he's hit more home runs (6) against the Yankees this season than any other team in the majors.

Look for Devers to continue his power success against the Yankees tonight at +320 to hit a home run. Other Red Sox hitters with home run success against Cole include J.D. Martinez (+650) and Tommy Pham (+650).

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Mike Trout (+185)

Mike Trout now has a home run in seven straight games so it's only right that we finally roll with him to hit a home run tonight against the Guardians. He and the Angels face Cody Morris who's only making his third career MLB start.

He only lasted four innings in his last start and in his first start he allowed two earned runs including a home run against the Mariners. On the season Trout has been a worse hitter on the road than at home but given the hot streak Trout is on, you can throw those numbers out of the window.

On the season Trout has hit .375 against Cleveland on the season and look for Trout to get aggressive if the count gets to 1-0 because he's hitting .522 with eight home runs on the season if that's the case.

Trout's odds to hit a home run tonight are at +185 but if you want to take a shot at the Angels other superstar in Shohei Ohtani, his odds are listed at +300 to hit a home run.
