Judging by how consistent Charlie Blackmon has been hitting the long ball this season he's about due for a home run this month as he's had between 3-5 home runs in each month thus far.
He's yet to hit one in August, but gets a familiar matchup tonight in the Diamondbacks Madison Bumgarner.
Normally I wouldn't suggest a lefty vs left matchup to hit a home run, but there's an exception to be made for Blackmon here. He's 18-53 all-time against Bumgarner with three home runs and actually hits lefties very well in general this season hitting .295 vs .255 against righties. He has a worse road average vs home but he has hit a majority of his home runs on the road this season.
