Normally I wouldn't suggest any Athletics hitter to hit a home run but playing at Nationals Park against Anibal Sanchez, it's hard to ignore this opportunity for hitters on the team.
The Athletics have actually won 3-straight games with partial thanks to catcher Sean Murphy who went 3-5 with a home run and five RBIs last night against the Nationals. He's hitting .330 this month with five home runs and 17 RBIs.
He's hit a home run in back-to-back games already twice this season so why not make it a third time in this nice matchup. Sanchez has a 7.65 home ERA this season giving up seven home runs in 20 innings pitched. Murphy hits .294 on the road compared to .218 at home and 11 of his 17 home runs have also come on the road as well.
