Today’s MLB Home Run Prop Bets For April 5

WagerTalk content contributor Kyle Kargel provides his daily home run prop picks and predictions for Wednesday, April 5 with odds provided by FanDuel. Franmil Reyes hit the longest home run of the day yesterday at 455 feet against the Blue Jays Yusei Kikuchi.

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Josh Donaldson (+520)

Josh Donaldson and the Yankees get Aaron Nola who struggled for the Phillies in his first start of the season allowing five earned runs in 3.2 innings pitched at Texas.

Donaldson is 6-16 against Nola all-time with two home runs but has failed to get his bat going this season only hitting .133.

Historically he hasn't been the best hitter for average but this very low average can only improve and he's got the matchup today that will allow him to find his grove and hit a home run out of Yankee Stadium.

Get Donaldson at +520 but other Yankees hitters to consider are Aaron Judge (+330) and Giancarlo Stanton (+390).

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: George Springer (+450)

Zach Greinke takes the mound for the Royals tonight who is known to baseball fans as a fly ball pitcher. This doesn't bode well for him going against the Blue Jays who as a team have been struggling in the power department so far only generating two home runs on the season so far.

George Springer is 7-13 against Greinke all-time with one home run. Springer was actually a better hitter on the road than at home last season hitting .281 away from Rogers Centre and .255 at home.

Last April Springer had six home runs while hitting .300 so he'll need to pick up the pace soon to get back up to that pace.

Get Springer at +450 but other Blue Jays hitters to consider are Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+370) and Matt Chapman (+480).
