Home Run Prop Prediction 1: J.D. Martinez (+360)
Astros pitcher Ronel Blanco has given up five home runs combined in his three starts since being converted from a bullpen pitcher back on June 1st.
He allow righties to bat .338 against him with a .952 OPS while sporting a 6.30 road ERA altogether on the season. Of the 16 home runs hit by J.D. Martinez this season, 14 of them have come against right-handed pitching.
Martinez is only batting .206 this month but he is riding a modest 6-game hitting streak, but hasn't hit a home run since June 10th.
Sure Martinez is only batting .221 at home but he has hit half of his 16 home runs at Dodger Stadium in almost equal amount of at-bats as he's taken on the road. Martinez also loves going against this Astros bullpen with home runs off relievers Phil Maton, Ryne Stanek and closer Ryan Pressly.
Grab Martinez to hit a home run tonight at +360 with other Dodgers hitters to look at for a home run include Mookie Betts (+350) and Will Smith (+400).
Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Shohei Ohtani (+230)
Rockies starter Chase Anderson has give up two home runs in three of his last four starts taking on the Angels tonight. He's allowed lefty batters to hit .273 off him with five home runs in 66 at-bats.
Compare that to a .232 average with three home runs given up in 82 at-bats against righties and it's easy to see why we'd go with Shohei Ohtani to hit yet another home run in June. He has 10 already this month batting .377 with a 1.356 OPS.
He bats .333 with 16 of his 25 home runs away from Angel Stadium and gets an extra advantage playing at Coors Field tonight. He bats .313 against righties with a 1.050 OPS and 18 of his 25 home runs.
Ohtani has hit a home run in back-to-back games five times already this season and has a great shot to make it a sixth time tonight after hitting one last night.
