Once Upon A Time In Las Vegas – Wildcard Edition

The Hofstra Pride (12-7, 10-8 ATS, 10-8 OU) battle the Towson Tigers (11-7, 9-9 ATS, 8-10 O/U) in a CAA bout on Monday afternoon. The Pride clobbered Delaware last time out. The Tigers posted a convincing home win against Monmouth in their previous action. Towson defeated Hofstra in both meetings last season. 

The Hofstra Pride are targeting their sixth conference win of the season. Hofstra is 5-1 in CAA action and has won four in a row propelled by stellar defensive play. They beat Monmouth by 20 points last week and followed with a convincing 86-62 home win against Delaware on Saturday to cover the large 10-point spread. The Pride' only conference blemish was a surprising home defeat against North Carolina AT&T. They have covered the spread in four consecutive bouts. 

Aaron Estrada is one of the best players in the CAA. The senior guard has reached the 20-point mark on nine occasions this season including 20 against William & Mary last week and has delivered an average of 20.9 PPG on 52% shooting. Tyler Thomas is capable of big numbers as well. The senior guard has posted 20 points twice in CAA play and has recorded an average of 14.1 PPG. Dar linstone Dubar has only scored six points in his last two games. The sophomore guard is third in team scoring with 11.1 PPG and 5.3 RPG. 

The Pride are ranked 111th in the country in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and are a solid 5-4 on the road including a 3-0 mark in their three CAA road games. Hofstra has posted at least 75 in three straight games and is scoring an average of 74.3 points on the season, marking them 138th. They are conceding an average of 69.6 points, placing them 188th.
