The Hofstra Pride are heading to the OceanFirst Bank Center on Saturday afternoon to take on the Monmouth Hawks in Coastal Athletic Association action. The Pride (11-9, 4-3 CAA) are on a three-game winning streak after a 64-55 home win on Thursday against the William & Mary Tribe. The Hawks (10-10, 3-4) are coming off a 72-65 road loss against the Stony Brook Seawolves on Thursday. 



The Hofstra Pride are looking to build off their 64-55 home win over the William & Mary Tribe and it helped to hold the Tribe to 22 points in the first half. The Pride were able to shoot the ball at a decent clip as they were able to go 24-of-56 (42.9%) from the floor, 8-of-27 (29.6%) from the three-point line and 10 free-throw attempts. Junior guard German Plotnikov played well as in 27 minutes he recorded 15 points, one rebound, one assist and one steal. The defense stepped up as they held the Tribe to shoot 34.5% from the field, 31.3% from distance and nine attempts at the charity stripe. 

The Hofstra Pride have been right around the middle of the country offensively as they are 165th in the nation with 75.2 points per game scored. The defense also has been in a s imilar boat as they are allowing 70.8 points per game, which is 150th in college basketball.
