Hofstra vs. George Mason Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-30-2022

Hofstra (6-2 SU, 4-4 ATS) travels to Northern Virginia to take on George Mason (3-4 SU, 2-5 ATS) on Wednesday night from EagleBank Arena at 7pmET.

These teams were former rivals in the CAA and haven't met since 2013. The Pride have won two straight games, while GMU is coming off a 72-65 win as an 8-point favorite over Queens (NC) on Nov. 26.

Last season, Honorable Mention All-American guard Aaron Estrada, was one of the best mid-major players in the nation after scoring 18.5 points, 5.0 rpg, and 5.7apg on 33% three-point shooting. This season, Oregon and Saint Peter's transfer is one of the best players in the nation. The 6-3 point guard is averaging 20.5 points per game on 52.1% shooting and 40.5% (17-42) from long range with 5.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists.

Estrada helped lead the Pride to a 6-2 start. In their last game on Sunday, Estrada scored 29 points to lead them to a 72-70 win over then 7-0 Quinnipiac in the final game of the Northern Classic from Quebec. This was a back-and-forth game as Hofstra's three-point shooting (12-of-25) was the difference.  Darlinstone Dubar added 15 points, while 6-0 guard Jaquan Carlos contributed 14 and three steals in 40 minutes.

On the season, Hofstra averages 71.9 points per game on 46% shooting (37.8% 3pt). They are getting outrebounded by 6.5 per game, so that's their major weakness. On defense, they are allowing teams to shoot 35.9% from three-point range (279th) and 44.7% (266th) overall. KenPom has them 70th in Adjusted Offensive Efficiency and 221st in Adjusted Defensive Efficiency.
