Hofstra at Delaware – 12/29/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Hofstra Pride will head down to Newark and face the Delaware Blue Hens for Colonial League battle from the Carpenter Center on CBSS. This will mark the 90th time Hofstra and Delaware face off as CAA rivals, and the Pride hold the all-time series lead 56-33 after winning the last four matchups.

Hofstra is 7-6 after losing to South Florida in Tampa. The Pride and the Bulls were knotted up at the break, before the Bulls pulled away with the seven-point victory. Hofstra is scoring 72.3 points per game, while allowing 72.1 ppg, and shooting 45.3% from the field.

Hofstra will be getting Aaron Estrada back right in time for conference play. The senior guard has been a walking bucket this season, scoring 27 points or more five times during the month of November. The Pride will go as far as Estrada takes them night in and night out, and he’s leading the Colonial League in scoring at 21.6 ppg, while posting team leading in rebounding (5.3) and assists (3.9). Sacred Heart transfer Tyler Thomas is averaging 12.4 ppg, while sophomore guard Darlinstone Dunbar is scoring an identical 12.2 ppg, and grabbing 5.2 rpg.
