Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr is having a stellar campaign with a .275 batting average, 29 home runs, 93 RBI, 92 runs scored and 48 stolen bases across 660 plate appearances.
Witt Jr has recorded 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI in 10 of his last 13 games despite falling short in the last two games. He has been remarkably consistent in clearing this total on the season, going over in 84 of 152 games for a 55% success rate.
Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Reese Olson is 5-7 on the season with a 4.13 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 98 strikeouts across 96 innings of work.
Olson has actually been lights out in September with a 3-1 record and nifty 1.40 ERA across 25.2 innings pitched. However, the Royals got the better of Olson in June with four runs on six hits across six innings of a 6-4 Kansas City victory.
Witt Jr feasted on Olson, going 2-3 with a home run that drew first blood in the game. Witt Jr bats in the two-hole of the Royals lineup which sets I’m perfectly to both drive in and score runs.
