Hitter Prop Prediction 1: Michael Brantley
Houston Astros designated hitter Michael Brantley hit .278 with two home runs and 7 RBI during the regular season after returning from injury in September.
Brantley is hitting .357 (5-14) with a home run and two RBI through four postseason games. He has only recorded 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI in 2 of the 4 games but has recorded a hit in every game.
Texas Rangers starting pitcher Max Scherzer finished the regular season with a 13-6 record, 3.77 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 174 strikeouts through 152.2 innings of work.
This will be his first postseason appearance of the 2023 campaign,'but he was shelled in his last start against the Astros on September 6th. In that start, Scherzer allowed 7 earned run on 6 hits including three home runs in only three innings pitched. Brantley went 2-3 in that game including a home run and sacrifice'fly.
Brantley has dominated Scherzer throughout his career, going 20-54 (.370) with three home runs, 8 doubles and 11 RBI.
“Uncle Mike” is veteran that is looking to win back-to-back rings and he knows the Astros backs are up against the wall. He’s thrived against Scherzer and I’m counting on him to get the job done tonight.

However, Heim is only 1-9 (.111) with no extra-base hits against tonight’s opposing starting pitcher Cristian Javier.
Javier finished the regular season with a 10-5 record, 4.56 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 159 strikeouts across 162 innings of work.
Javier tossed five shutout innings against the Minnesota Twins in his lone postseason appearance. He did allow five walks but only a lone hit.
This is basically a must-win for Houston and Javier has pitched well against the majority of the Rangers lineup. Let’s ride the trend and play a Heim under 1.5 HRR tonight.
