The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors and San Jose State Spartans face off on Saturday in a college football showdown at Spartan Stadium. When these two teams faced off last year it was San Jose State that won 17-13.
Hawaii knew it was probably going to be a down season and they have struggled this season. Hawaii comes into this game with a 3-9 record and they have gone 8-4 against the spread. In the last game against UNLV though, the offense was good scoring 31 points and they won by six points. Hawaii is averaging 20.3 points while their defense is giving up 35.3 points per game. Hawaii is averaging 8.08 points per game in the 4th quarter which is strong, but for most of the season, it’s been a little too late. On the other side of this matchup is San Jose State who sits with a 6-4 record and they have gone 4-6 against the spread. In the last game against Utah State, they were competitive, but they couldn’t get the job done late and ended up losing 35-31. The Spartans are averaging 27.5 points while their defense is giving up 20.9 points per game. The defense has mostly been good this season but the defense was an issue in the last game. Chevan Cordeiro has thrown for 2.676 yards, 18 touchdowns, and three interceptions. Kairee Robinson has rushed for 548 yards and nine touchdowns.
