After inclement weather forced a postponement yesterday, the Cleveland Guardians and New York Yankees will meet this afternoon in Game 2 of their ALDS matchup.
After a 4-1 win in Game 1, the AL East champions would have been hoping to have a 2-0 lead and a day off before resuming the series in Cleveland on Saturday. They did indeed get a day off, but instead of having a day between Games 1 and 2 and between Games 2 and 3, there will be a quick turnaround from today's matchup at Yankee Stadium and a Game 3 tomorrow night at Progressive Field.
Home runs were key in Game 1, wit h a solo blast by Steven Kwan providing Cleveland's lone run and Harrison Bader and Anthony Rizzo going deep for the Bronx Bombers to help make a winner out of Gerrit Cole.
