NFL Round Table Show

Golden State will try to extend its two-game winning streak when it travels to New Orleans on Monday night. The Warriors got off to a slow start this season, but they have won five of their seven games since then. New Orleans had its three-game winning streak snapped in a loss to Boston on Friday.

Golden State was one of the most disappointing teams in the NBA through the first few weeks of the season, losing seven of their first 10 games. The Warriors have been able to turn things around over the past two weeks though, winning five of their last seven games. They beat New York by 10 points at home on Friday night before picking up a 127-120 win at Houston on Sunday night. Guard Klay Thompson had his best game of the season, pouring in 41 points and knocking down 10 of 13 from 3-point range.

Star Steph Curry had been the Warriors’ leading scorer in every game other than two prior to Sunday, with Jordan Poole accounting for the other two instances. Curry scored 33 points against Houston, making 7 of 14 from 3-point range. He is now averaging a team-high 32.2 points per game, while Andrew Wiggins is adding 18.1 and Poole is chipping in 15.9. The Warriors continue to be one of the league's best offensive teams, ranked fourth in points per game (117.1). They are facing a New Orleans defense that is No. 13, allowing 112.4 points per contest.
