The Los Angeles Lakers (30-33) will host the Golden State Warriors (334-30) on Sunday in a Western Conference showdown. In three head-to-head meetings this season, the Lakers are 2-1 both straight up and against the spread when facing the Warriors. Two of the three games have also gone under the total. The most recent meeting was the Lakers' 124-111 win on February 23. Los Angles did have LeBron James and Anthony Davis in that victory, and the Warriors were without Stephen Curry or Andrew Wiggins.
The Dubs have won five straight games since losing to the Lakers on February 23. On Friday, Golden State trailed the Pelicans by 14 points after the first quarter but cranked things up and pulled away late to win 108-99. Klay Thomson led the Warriors with 27 points, and three Warriors bench players added double figures in points, led by Jonathan Kuminga with 19 points and seven rebounds. Among the starters, Jordan Poole scored 18 points on 12-12 shooting from the free-throw line, and Kevon Looney had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Heading into Saturday, the Warriors were fifth in the Western Conference standings. The team has had a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde situation between their home and road performance. At the Chase Center, the Dubs are 27-7 straight up and 21-11-1 against the spread, but on the road just 7-23 straight up and an NBA worst 8-21 against the spread.
Amongst the healthy players, Golden State is led by Klay Thompson with 22 ppg, Jordan Poole with 21 ppg, Kevon Looney with 9.0 rebounds, Draymond Green with 6.9 assists, and Donte DiVincenzo with 1.4 steals per game. Following Friday's win, head coach Steve Kerr did say that it was possible Steph Curry could play Sunday, but emphasized a decision could not be made until after Saturday's practice.
