Golden State Warriors vs. Denver Nuggets Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-2-2023

Golden State Warriors (26-24) vs. Denver Nuggets (35-16)

The NBA betting action continues with a seven-game Thursday card, so we are breaking down the Western Conference showdown between the Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.

Golden State and Denver continue their three-game regular-season series, and the Nuggets took the first blood, beating the Warriors 128-123 as 5.5-point road underdogs. Denver might miss Jack White (groin) on Thursday, while Golden State is without Andre Iguodala (hip).

Wednesday’s games have been excluded from the analysis, and the 26-24 Golden State Warriors visited the Minnesota Timberwolves, searching for their fourth consecutive victory. Over their previous three games, the Warriors have defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 122-120, Toronto Raptors 129-117, and Oklahoma City Thunder 128-120.

Stephen Curry has been outstanding during that three-game stretch. He dropped 38 points on OKC, 35 against Toronto, and 34 versus Memphis. Last Monday, Curry dished out 12 assists against the Thunder, and the Warriors made 51.1% of their field goals (20-for-47 from deep).

“This was really a key game for us on the trip,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said after a win over Oklahoma City. “To start out with a win puts us in a good position to get some rest tomorrow, prepare for Minnesota, go attack that game and see what happens. … So, we needed this one tonight, and guys did a great job of winning and getting it. Now, we’ve got to get greedy and go get the next one.”

The Warriors entered Wednesday’s clash against Minnesota as the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference. They were 14th in the league in adjusted offensive efficiency (114.3 points per 100 possessions) and 16th in adjusted defensive efficiency (114.2).
