The Golden State Warriors (15-14, 13-15-1 ATS) earned their fifth straight victory when they defeated the Portland Trailblazers on Saturday, 126-106. That contest was at home, and the team heads to the road for just one game in Denver before returning home for seven straight contests. The Warriors are 6-8 (8-6-0 ATS) on the road.

Portland led by seven after one quarter, but Golden State took over in the second, outscoring the Trailblazers by 18 to take an 11-point lead into the half. Golden State shot 57.8% from the floor, and dominated Portland on the glass, outrebounding 49-30. They also had 38 assists to 26 for the Trailblazers.

“I think over the last five games, he’s just taking better shots,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “And as a result, our team is more settled. We just feel like we’re operating more efficiently.”

Klay Thompson led Golden State with 28 points, hitting 11 of 16 shots, including six of 10 from three-point range. Thompson continues to impress with Draymond Green out, producing at least 20 points in six straight contests (25.7 ppg). Steph Curry had 27 points off 11-18.
