A cross-country matchup takes place on Monday night when the Golden State Warriors (21-25, 12th in the West) travel to take on the Brooklyn Nets (20-28, 11th in the East). The Warriors are coming off a road loss in Atlanta, losing in overtime 141-134 as 2.5-point underdogs. Brooklyn just grabbed a strong road win over the 76ers, winning 136-121 as 1.5-point underdogs. This is the second of two matchups between these teams, with Golden State winning the first matchup by four at home. The Golden State Warriors are on their third game of an East Coast road trip as they will play five games on the road. They opened with a win against Memphis, a team in the Western Conference, but still geographically far east from Golden State. Then dropped the game to the Hawks in overtime. They will next play Brooklyn, Philadelphia and Indiana before heading back home. In their recent game against the Hawks, they were led by Steph Curry who hit ten threes on his way to a 60 point game in a losing effort.

Steph Curry just received his 10th All-Star selection, and is coming off the 60 point game. He leads the Warriors in scoring by a wide margin, he averages 28.1 PPG and is knocking down 4.9 threes per game on 41.1% shooting from deep. He dropped 37 three games ago against the 76ers, and had 46 in the previous game against the Lakers. The next top scorer is Klay Thompson, he may not be as quick as he used to be, but he is still second on the team in scoring with 17.3 PPG. Jonathan Kuminga has been in the starting lineup recently, he averages 15.1 PPG and 4.6 RPG, and had a 29-point game in the win over Memphis. Andrew Wiggins adds another 12.1 PPG as part of the starting lineup when healthy, and Draymond Green gets another 9.2 PPG, 6.2 RPG and 6.2 APG.
Dario Saric averages 10.2 PPG, but is questionable here with an illness, and Chris Paul is out with a hand injury. In recent games, Trayce Jackson-Davis and Brandin Podziemski have gotten t he most minutes off the bench. The Warriors rank 9th in offensive efficiency and 22nd in defensive efficiency according to dunksandthrees.com. Golden State plays at the 12th fastest tempo in the league.
