The Golden State Warriors pay a visit to the Orlando Magic at the Amway Center on Thursday night.
The Golden State Warriors really haven’t looked like themselves lately as they’ve lost four of their past five games and they will be hoping to put an end to a three-game skid after getting stopped in their tracks by the Heat in a 116-109 road loss on Tuesday. Stephen Curry led the way with a triple-double of 23 points with 13 rebounds and 13 assists, Andrew Wiggins added 21 points and five assists on eight of 12 shooting while Klay Thompson chipped in with 19 points on seven of 19 shooting. As a team, the Warriors shot 46 percent from the field and 18 of 49 from the 3-point line as they poured in 38 points in the third quarter to build a 10-point lead, but they went ice-cold when it mattered most, scoring just 15 points in the fourth quarter to allow the Heat to run them down in the end. Jordan Poole had a night to forget as he scored just nine points on three of 10 shooting while committing five turnovers, while Draymond Green scored just five points and three assist s.
Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic have really been in a slump as they’ve lost seven of their first eight games overall and they will be aiming to break a two-game skid after falling to the Thunder in a 116-108 road loss on Tuesday. Wendell Carter Jr. led the team with 30 points and 12 rebounds on 10 of 15 shooting, Franz Wagner added 20 points with seven assists and two blocks, Paolo Banchero tallied 15 points while Bol Bol racked up 13 points with 12 rebounds and four blocks. As a team, the Magic shot 44 percent from the field and 10 of 29 from the 3-point line as they poured in 66 points in the first half to build an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter, until the Thunder closed the final 6:39 on a 23-4 run to snatch the game away from them in the end.
