Glover Teixeira has had an up-and-down UFC career, but his dream of being a champion became reality with an exciting submission victory over Jan Blachowicz in October of 2021. The 43-year-old's reign was short-lived, though, as he lost to Jiri Prochazka is a title defense match in June of 2022.
Teixeira needs to get back on track with a statement win on Saturday night and I expect him to do just that. While Jamahal Hill has come back from his first MMA loss by knocking out three straight opponents, he remains a rather inexperienced fighter that relies mainly on his physical attributes.
This is a classic battle between a striker and a grappler, too. Hill's kickboxing background won't come in handy as long as Teixeira is able to use his Jiu-Jitsu experience to absorb the powerful punches.
