The Georgia Bulldogs are on the road as they make the trip to face the #4 Tennessee Volunteers Wednesday night. Georgia battled but fell 85-82 at home to Vanderbilt in their previous game Saturday afternoon, losing outright as a four-point favorite. Tennessee cruised to a 77-56 road win over LSU in their previous game Saturday, covering the line as an 11-point favorite. In the all-time series between the teams, the Volunteers own a 77-51 advantage and have won the last two meetings. That includes a 75-68 road win in the most recent meeting on March 1, 2022.

Georgia fought to the end but ended up falling short at home for the first time this season as they were beaten by Vanderbilt Saturday. The Bulldogs fell to 13-6 on the season overall and stand tied for seventh in the conference with a 3-3 mark entering this game. Against Vanderbilt, Georgia gave up an 8-0 run over the final 2:25 of the first half to go from a 36-36 tie to trailing 44-36 at the half. The Bulldogs trailed by 12 with 4:51 to play before reeling off an 11-0 run to get within 77-76 with 2:13 remaining. They were unable to get past that however as Vanderbilt managed to hang on for the win. Georgia shot 44.1% from the field, including nine of 27 from three-point range, and won the rebounding battle 40-30 only to fall short. Jabri Abdur-Rahim led the Bulldogs with 21 points off the bench in the loss.

The Bulldogs are averaging 71.1 points per game this season, putting them 191st in the nation in scoring offense. Georgia is above average on the glass this season as they collect 38.7 boards a night while dishing out 11.9 assists per contest.
