The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Virginia Tech Hokies face off on Saturday in a college football showdown at Lane Stadium. The visiting team has won eight of the last nine games played between the two teams.
Georgia Tech comes into this game with a 3-5 record overall and they have gone 3-5 against the spread. In the last game against Florida State, Georgia Tech’s defense was awful giving up 41 points and that led to the defeat. On the other side of this matchup is Virginia Tech Hokies who sit with a 2-6 record overall and they have gone 3-5 against the spread. In the last game against NC State, Virginia Tech looked good giving up only 22 points, but the offense couldn’t make enough winning plays and they ended up losing by a point. Grant Wells completed 11 of his 22 passes for 243 yards and a touchdown. Virginia Tech is averaging 19.4 points while their defense is giving up 24.8 points per game. In this game they are going to need a big game from Wells, or this will be a disappointing day for the Hokies.
