The Georgetown Hoyas are on the road as they make the trip east to take on the Creighton Bluejays Wednesday night. Georgetown was pasted 88-68 by #20 Providence at home Sunday, failing to cover the line as a 6.5-point underdog, in their previous contest. Creighton was knocked off 79-67 on the road by Villanova, losing outright as a two-point favorite, in their previous contest Saturday. In the all-time series between the teams, the Bluejays own a 13-9 advantage and have won the last three meetings. That includes a 63-53 road win in the first meeting this season February 1.

Georgetown dropped their second straight and their eighth in the last nine games as they were drubbed by #20 Providence at home in their previous contest. The Hoyas fell to 7-23 overall and sit in the basement of the Big East with a 2-17 conference record. Against Providence, Georgetown led by three four minutes into the game before things unraveled. The Hoyas gave up 13 unanswered points to trail 21-11 with 12:05 to play in the first half and never got closer than eight the rest of the way. Georgetown shot 39.7% from the field, including 11 of 28 from three-point range, and allowed Providence to shoot 50.7% from the floor in the contest. Primo Spears led the Hoyas with 26 points and four assists in the loss.

On the year, the Hoyas are putting up an average of 70.6 points per game this season, which puts them 203rd in the nation in scoring offense. Georgetown is pulling down a stellar 36. 4 rebounds per contest while they are dishing out 12.1 assists a game. The Hoyas are allowing an average of 77.4 points per game on the defensive end of the floor, putting them a dismal 346th in the nation in scoring defense. Primo Spears leads the team with 15.8 points plus 5.3 assists a game this season. Brandon Murray (14.1 points, 4.1 rebounds), Jay Heath (13 points, 3.8 rebounds) and Qudus Wahab (9.9 points, 7.3 rebounds) are good secondary scorers. Bryson Mozone, Akok Akok, Jordan Riley, Bradley Ezewiro, Ryan Mutombo, Wayne Bristol Jr. and Denver Anglin all have to do their part on the floor for Georgetown. The Hoyas are connecting on 42.9% of their attempts from the field this season. Georgetown knocks down an average of 5.9 three-pointers a night while shooting 31.9% from beyond the arc. The Hoyas are average at the charity stripe as they convert on 71.2% of their attempts this season.
