The George Mason Patriots will look to get to .500 in the A-10 this season as they had to DC to take on the Colonials of George Washington. George Mason will also be looking for its second straight win after upending Rhode Island on Saturday, 75-67. The Patriots held Rhode Island to 38% shooting on the afternoon in picking up their 12th home win of the season. Josh Oduro led the way with a season-high 27 points while shooting 12-of-14 from the field. Ronald Polite III added 15 points and nine assists and Davonte Gaines had 15 points in nine rebounds in the victory.
“I think we have a resilient group,” head coach Kim English said. “We've taken whatever's been thrown at us this season and have continued to improve and get better. We've learned from our flaws. We took our worst loss in two seasons the other night in Pittsburgh. I thought our guys responded really well against a team [Rhode Island] that's had some success.”
