College Basketball pick today: Alabama Crimson Tide -7.5 over San Diego State Aztecs (-110), 6:30 pm ET
Tonight’s NCAA Tournament slate opens with #1 Alabama taking on San Diego State. The Tide are playing about as well as a team can play at the moment. They are a top-5 defensive team and have a top-20 offense to go with it. More than that, the Tide play at one of the fastest tempos in the country and they are not dependent upon any one player to have a great game.
The Aztecs on the other hand,' are a top-5 defensive team, but their offense is one of the slowest in the country. They rank 250th in the nation in terms of pace. The Aztecs have only one player scoring in double figures, and they will struggle to win a game that is played in the high 70s or above, as Alabama most typically plays. This looks to be a bad spot for them, therefore backing the Crimson Tide to roll will be the best play.
