Miami comes off possibly their greatest season in program history, compiling a 26-11 record (14-6 ACC) while advancing to the Elite 8 as a 10-seed. All this success comes from the team that was ranked 12th in the ACC preseason poll. This year's team is a good mix of experienced players and some talented transfers which gives them the edge in today's matchup.
The Hurricanes return two starters from last season in Jordan Miller and first team preseason All-ACC guard Isaiah Wong. Miami was also able to nab one of the top transfers in Nijel Pack from Kansas State, giving them one of the most dangerous backcourts in the country. Today's game likely comes down to guard play, and Miami has the advantage in that department. For that reason, backing the Hurricanes to cover will be the play.
