The Washington State Cougars (7-5, 4-5 Pac-12) and Fresno State Bulldogs (9-4, 7-1 MW) will be trying to close out their season with a win when they meet in the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl Presented by Stifel on Saturday afternoon. The Cougars closed out the regular season with a 51-33 loss to Washington as 2.5-point underdogs. The Bulldogs closed out the regular season with a 28-16 win over Boise State as three-point underdogs.

The Cougars had their three-game winning streak snapped by the Huskies in their last game. They will try to bounce back from the loss with a win over the Bulldogs, which will give them their fourth win in their last five games.

Washington State is averaging 28.1 points per game. They are throwing for 263.5 yards and rushing for 112.3 yards per game.

Cameron Ward completed 63 percent of his passes for 322 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to the Huskies. Nakia Watson had 15 carries for 73 yards and one touchdown, while Robert Ferrel had four catches for 71 yards and one touchdown.

Washington State will be shorthanded for this game with receivers Donovan Ollie and De'Zhaun Stribling as well as linebackers Travion Brown and Francisco Mauigoa entering the transfer portal. They will also be without Linebacker Daiyan Henley and receiver Renard Bell who will sit out the game.

Cooper Mathers (Undisclosed) is questionable for this game.

They also lost both their offensive and defensive coordinators, who have accepted jobs with other schools, leaving head coach Jake Dickert to call the team’s defensive plays for this game. It is unclear who will call plays on offense.

Washington State played well defensively, giving up 22.9 points per game. They gave up 51 points in their last game and will need a better performance if they want to win this game.
