Fresno State Bulldogs (6-4) vs. Nevada Wolf Pack (2-8)

The Fresno State Bulldogs are one win away from securing a spot in the Mountain West Conference championship game. They head to Mackay Stadium in Reno, Nevada, in Week 12 to face off against the slumping Nevada Wolf Pack, so let’s take a closer look.

The Bulldogs opened as 23.5-point road favorites, but that went down to 22.0 points by the time of writing. The totals are sitting at 54.0 points at the moment.

The Fresno State Bulldogs (6-4; 3-7 ATS; 5-1 conf.) are rolling on a five-game winning streak following a 37-30 road victory over the UNLV Rebels in Week 11. They failed to cover an 8.5-point spread but did manage to control the game down the stretch and fully deserve their victory. Senior QB Jake Haener completed 28 of his 34 passing attempts for 313 yards and three touchdowns, including two to senior wideout Jalen Moreno-Cropper, while senior running back Jordan Mims posted 21 totes for 70 yards and a touchdown.

“It was a really hard-fought game,” Fresno State head coach Jeff Tedford said. “When you go back and forth against a really good football team, it’s great to come out with the win. Playing all four quarters is what it takes to beat really good football teams. Our offensive line did a really good job of protecting Jake all night against a good football team. Their quarterback was hurting us with his legs, but we were able to contain him in the second half.”

Jake Haener has appeared in just six games this season because of an injury. He’s thrown for 1,888 yards, 14 touchdowns, and three interceptions, completing 75.6 percent of his passing attempts. Jordan Mims has accounted for 959 yards from scrimmage and 11 touchdowns, while Jalen Moreno-Cropper and Nikko Remigio have combined for 1,484 yards from scrimmage and 11 scores so far this season.

On the defensive side of things, the Bulldogs are yielding 23.6 points per contest (tied-45th). They rank 30th in passing yards allowed (199.1 per game) and 94th in rushing yards allowed (167.0).
