The Fresno State Bulldogs and UNLV Rebels face off on Friday in a Mountain West college football showdown at Allegiant Stadium. When these two teams faced off last year it was Fresno State that secured the 38-30 victory.

Fresno State comes into this game with a 5-4 record and they have gone 3-6 against the spread. Fresno State’s last game came against Hawaii and the offense scored 55 points on the way to the blowout victory. Jake Haener had a big game completing 24 of his 29 passes for 324 yards and four touchdowns. Fresno State is averaging 29.2 points while their defense is giving up 22.9 points per game. The offense is ranked 67th in the league while their defense is ranked 43rd.

On the other side of this matchup is UNLV who sits with a 4-5 record overall but they have lost four games in a row. In the last game against San Diego State, UNLV only scored 10 points, and that led to the four-point defeat. Quarterback Doug Brumfield completed 17 of his 27 passes for 207 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. UNLV is averaging 26 points while their defense is giving up 28 points per game. The offense is ranked 82nd and is going to need to be better in this game. They can’t expect to win this game if they are scoring only 10 or 13 points.
