After both the Brewers and Cubs played Thursday afternoon, they're wasting no time getting their weekend series started. The Cubs having starter Keegan Thompson on the mound is likely the only reason this game isn't priced more in favor of the Brewers. However, he lost his last outing against the lowly Reds, giving up 4 runs in just 1.2 innings. He clearly wasn't right, and may not be 100% healthy.
On the other side, Brewers starter Aaron Ashby has been solid to pick on when facing great lineups. However, that's not the case with the Cubs, and Ashby took them down the last time he faced them. Because of Ashby’s success against the Cubs, backing the Brewers will be the play.
